Admissions

Our vision is to equip people for Christian ministry. Our courses combine academic study with spiritual development, helping each student to develop in ways that will prepare them for preaching, teaching, mission and evangelism in a wide range of different settings.

The way we assess applications reflects our vision and purpose.

Entry Requirements

Our open access policy means that formal academic qualifications are less important than for many other courses. Rather, students accepted on to the course will be those who give clear evidence of:

  • a conversion experience to a personal faith in Christ

  • a testimony to growth in grace and spiritual maturity

  • a leading towards some form of Christian ministry

  • a potential to meet the aims and learning outcomes of the programme demonstrated, for example, by appropriate prior experiential learning

International Students

FMBC does not hold a Tier 4 sponsor licence from the UK Border Agency. This means that if you wish to come to FMBC from another country, you must meet the following criteria:

  • you are a national of a country in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland

  • you are a British overseas territories citizen, unless you are from one of the sovereign base
areas in Cyprus

  • you are a Commonwealth citizen with permission to enter or stay in the UK because at least one
of your grandparents was born here

  • you have no conditions or time limit attached to your stay. Students for whom English is not their first language are normally required to have achieved an overall IELTS score of 6. If an applicant does not have a qualification of this type but, through an interview, demonstrates an ability to manage the course, that may be acceptable.
