Explore what the Bible says about gospel ministry –
and whether God may be calling you.
Join a small online cohort over 5 sessions to explore what Scripture says about mission, calling, gifting and ministry.
In a world that’s spiritually lost and increasingly post-Christian, the need for gospel workers is greater than ever. Yet many believers feel uncertain about their role, unclear on their gifting, or hesitant to take the first step towards ministry.
Exploring Ministry & Mission is a 5-week evening course designed to help Christians prayerfully consider whether God may be calling them to deeper involvement in gospel ministry. It includes Bible teaching, real ministry stories, space for reflection, and practical guidance. Whether you’re drawn to evangelism, pastoral ministry, youth work, cross-cultural outreach, or simply want to explore the next step, this course is for you.
You won’t be pressured to make big decisions – but you will be invited to listen carefully and respond faithfully to the Lord of the harvest.
Places in the Autumn 2025 cohort are limited, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible to secure your place.
If you’d like to discuss whether this course is right for you, feel free to contact the course organiser, Angus Moyes, at angus.moyes@fmbiblecollege.org.uk — he’d be glad to chat.
We’ll also be running future cohorts. If another time would suit you better, join our mailing list to be kept informed about upcoming dates.

Who is this course for?
This course is for any Christian who is wondering whether God may be calling them to gospel ministry or theological training. You don’t need to have everything figured out — just a desire to explore and grow.
Do I have to be considering full-time ministry to join?
Not necessarily. The course is aimed at those who are open to the possibility of full-time or bi-vocational gospel ministry — whether in a church, mission, or youth/children’s context. It’s for those who are prayerfully exploring a deeper vocational calling, whatever form that might take.
How is the course delivered?
The five weekly sessions are delivered live online via a Microsoft Teams video call on Tuesday evenings. Each session includes Bible teaching, guest testimonies, discussion, and space for prayerful reflection.
What does it cost?
There is no charge for the course — it’s completely free. You just need to commit your time and attention, and be willing to reflect and engage.
Is there any homework or assessment?
There will be a small amount of optional reading and some personal reflection exercises between sessions, but there are no formal assessments, exams, or essays.
Will I be expected to speak or share during the sessions?
There will be opportunities to discuss as a group, but no one is put on the spot. You’re welcome to participate at a level that feels comfortable for you.
What happens after the course?
You’re warmly invited to join us for the FMBC Open Day on Tuesday 11 November, 8:55am – 3:30pm (lunch included). Register at fmbiblecollege.org.uk/opendays. Or if you would like another opportunity to explore ministry training further — at FMBC or elsewhere — we’ll be very happy to chat and help you think things through.
Will this help me decide whether to apply to FMBC?
Yes — that’s one of the goals. The course is designed to help people explore whether FMBC might be the right place for them to train and grow in ministry. But the wider focus is to help you respond to God’s call, wherever that may lead.
